Why I Work With Mothers & Women
Why I Work With Mothers & Women
Why I Work With Mothers & Women
One of my greatest joys in life has been becoming a mother. At the start, I was terrified and doubtful that motherhood would be “fitting” for me. Yet the early years of motherhood have brought out the most raw versions of myself. As I navigate my relationship with my kids, I am reminded that I become my most authentic self when I am around those that seek to know my deepest self: my lev.

Becoming a mom can be one of the most daunting tasks. In my experience, I was filled with the most joy and the most fear. My perspective on life completely shifted. Everything I experienced was through a new lens. At times I felt crazy, at times I felt overwhelmed, and at times I felt like this was the most important work.

Motherhood is one of the most complex shared experiences. Whether it’s crying over spilled milk (literally), laughing about our naivety, or feeling like we no longer hold any answers to any questions. I have found my journey into motherhood to be the most tender when I walk through it with others.

My Approach
Warmth, trust, curiosity, and room for laughter.

While being a wife and a mother are nearest to me, maintaining deep friendships is what helps sustain me. My family and I enjoy cooking and baking together, playing outside, and reading books. I enjoy rich conversations around a table or on a walk and I value never taking life too seriously — which I can thank my husband for. As a therapist, you will find me bringing these values into the room.

In the therapy room I hope to foster an environment that encourages honesty, authenticity, and gentleness, yet always leaving room for laughter. I believe therapy is meaningful and courageous, and I think the hardest work is creating lasting change. My approach is rooted in person-centered and psychodynamic therapy, while also helping you notice patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to the way you relate to others.

I believe there is value in exploring experiences and internalized beliefs to help understand how these shape the way you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

Motherhood is a journey of becoming. You are becoming a new version of yourself, and you are witnessing and nurturing the becoming of a child. I believe that we become more whole versions of ourselves when we partner with others in this journey of becoming. I hope to help you better understand who you are in this process through collaboration grounded in warmth, trust, and curiosity.

Rather than offering quick fixes, I value thoughtful and sustainable work that supports long-term healing, growth, and greater self-awareness. My hope is to create a space where you feel seen and supported enough to explore your story. Interacting with the painful, confusing, meaningful, and joyous parts of becoming more human.
